How the Service is Provided
1. People feel their voices are heard, they have choice about their care and support, and opportunities are made available to them.
We encourage individuals to play as full a part as possible in decisions about their lifestyle. We gather opinions informally on a day-to-day basis and more formally via regular reviews.
2. People are happy and supported to maintain their ongoing health, development, and overall well-being.
We work in partnership with individuals' families and other members of the multidisciplinary professional team. Each individual will have a dedicated key worker.
3. People feel safe and protected from abuse and neglect.
DRS Homecare has policies in place to ensure staff are aware of their duties in relation to ensuring the people we support are safe from abuse.
a. Arrangements for Admitting, Assessing, Planning, and Reviewing People’s Care
Pre-service Visits: We will try to give people as full and honest an impression of the services as possible.
Meeting Needs: The service provider must be satisfied that it has the capacity to meet the needs of any individual.
Trial Service: We offer people the opportunity to review and terminate the service at the end of the first month.
Start of Service: If everyone is satisfied, we will arrange a start date.
Emergency Referrals: In urgent situations, we apply the procedures governing planned referrals.
The personal plan will set out:
- The actions required to meet the individual’s well-being, care, and support needs.
- How the individual will be supported to achieve their personal outcomes.
